"DOWN TO THEIR TOES!"

I make sure to spend some of my conversational time with Mr Purskel-- expressing surprise and admiration that he's come along during such suspicious and hostile times, when I'm sure he's being provoked left and right. If he seems pleased to be sympathized with, I play that up further. If he seems annoyed, I poke at the nerve to see whether he'll blurt out anything about anyone else who's been pissing him off. If he seems *very* annoyed, I back off.

Gimble Actions remain as posted

Drusilla is a better man than I; after a night like that, I don't drink for weeks, and don't drink the drink that got me there for months.

Or, er, I imagine that's how I would react...

Sandarkar is talking politics with the merchants, tallying up expressions of unhappiness with the Duke and his line-- and dubiously enthusiastic expressions of enthusiasm, too.

Is the Purkulese half-orc one of the merchants or one of the guards?

Who ever heard of an ugly half-elf?

The first day Acavel-- er, Sandarkar-- will travel back in 9. Sometimes the ragtag bunch near the end has looser lips than the hoity-toities at the front. And sometimes those who try to stay out of sight of the Duke's guards are those who most require watching.

Acavel [to Gimble, as everyone is saying their good-mornings and preparing to divide up into clusters of wagons and caravans] My friend, last night I could hardly rune around in the bar without hearing someone telling the tales of the deeds of the Most Mighty Warrior of Greennest, and of your deeds in the Cloud Peaks! I was asking around for reports of trouble-- you understand, that's why my father sent me on this trip-- and I was told that we had nothing to fear with so many of the Dukes' Men and with the Mighty Gimble by their side! I am glad that you are on this trip with us.

[to Drusilla] Milady, may I offer you some dried salt beef? No? I'm afraid I don't envy you a day on horseback or in a wagon. I look forward to talking with you again this evening.

Gimble:  Gimble decides to break-fast with breads, juices and fruits if available and will feed Brinkles as well. Conversation with anyone will be quick as he is anxious to get on with the caravan. He looks for a wagon where Brinkles can lay in the back. Gimble prefers wagon #2 if possible and will maintain an astute observation of his surroundings during his travel.

Of course prior to boarding the caravan, he will get his saddle, lance and small shield from the stable and gather up his remaining equipment and do an inventory check.
